Changshu Elite Entrepreneur Alliance set up

The Changshu Elite Entrepreneur Alliance was set up during the weekend in Changshu, a city in east China's Jiangsu Province.

It has chapters in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen (to cover Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau), the Belt and Road region, Japan and South Korea, Europe, US and Australia. Each chapter has a coordinator and will host regular meetings.

“The alliance will strengthen the coordination among Changshu's entrepreneurs,” said Changshu Party Secretary Zhou Qindi at the 2019 Changshu Elite Entrepreneur Alliance Conference on Saturday.

More than 150 attended the two-day conference, including Jin Liqun, president of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and Zhong Zhihua, vice president of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Contacts on 59 projects worth 37 billion yuan (US$5.3 billion) were signed.

At the same time, Changshu Economic & Technological Development Zone announced a space for communication and coordination of the alliance.

An hour drive from Shanghai, Changshu hopes to make better use of the spillover effect of Shanghai, and play a greater role in the coordinated growth in the Yangtze River Delta region.
