Group proposes new system to assess regional business environment
The China Zhi Gong Party's Shanghai commission has submitted a proposal to the CPPCC session to better assess the business environment in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The proposal suggests a unified valuation system to assess the ease of doing business in the region and to measure how synergies between cities and provinces have boosted collaborative governance.
It also suggests a data-sharing platform regarding scientific research, taxes, social security, financial services and a number of other sectors.
A one-stop credit-rating information system would also benefit investment institutions and small businesses that seek financing.
Financial infrastructure and resources shall also be shared in the region, with industry associations lending support.
The proposal suggests the adoption of blockchain technologies to set up data banks and to allow better data analysis and decision making.
