A cloud roadshow to connect startups, investors and industrial parks online was held in Shanghai on Friday as the city moves to resume economic activity amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The event, held by the Shanghai Fengpu Industrial Park, invited startup entrepreneurs to introduce their projects and answer questions from special judges, including government officials. The projects involved beauty and cosmetics, health care and smart manufacturing.

More than 30,000 online audience, nine startup executives and eight judges, six of whom were investors, attended the online road show. It was also one of the first investment roadshow events held in Shanghai after Chinese New Year.

It’s a key part of online business events to boost new investment in Fengxian District and Shanghai, said Gu Weixing, director of the district's investment promotion office.

Shanghai Fengpu Industrial Park, founded in 1994, is a top-level manufacture and technology industrial park in Fengxian District. It’s also one of nine city-level industrial parks.
