Shanghai Y50 forum showcases innovation and entrepreneurship
Shanghai Y50 Forum, a city-level forum to boost innovation and entrepreneurship during the epidemic, is being held in the city.
The Y50 Forum, literally meaning top 50 young entrepreneurs in Shanghai, began on Saturday and will end on Monday at the Shanghai Center.
“Shanghai has always been a hot spot for investment, a highland for innovation and a paradise for entrepreneurship," Shanghai’s Acting Mayor Gong Zheng told the opening ceremony of the forum.
"This epidemic outbreak has not changed our existing advantages, and has spawned many new opportunities."
Shanghai has advantages in institutions, economy, business environment, talent and culture, which are the fundamental guarantees of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Shanghai will accelerate the construction of a new open economic system, increase the intensity of industrial transformation and strive to create a better business environment. The government will always be a strong backer of the innovation and entrepreneurship of young friends, Gong said.
City leaders, industry leading entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs are attending the forum to share, discuss, and interpret policy.
