ChinaJoy, the country’s biggest game show, will be held in summer in Shanghai as usual, organizers said on Monday. 

Special measures will be taken during the epidemic, including pre-registration with real name and requirement of green health QR code.

ChinaJoy, or the ChinaJoy Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference, will be held ar the Shanghai New International Exo Center between July 31 and August 3. 

The ChinaJoy will attract exhibitors on game firms, smart devices and derivative products as usual events. In 2020, it will introduce new exhibitors and zones for the first time, covering trendy toy, cloud game, board game and independent game.  

In the past 17 years, ChinaJoy has played important roles in boosting digital entertainment in China and Shanghai. In the special period, Shanghai will take advantage of ChinaJoy platform on industry collaboration, international cooperation and create better business environment for the industry, according to the organizers including local government bureaus.

To fight against the COVID-19 spread, the ChinaJoy 2020 will take special measures including pre-registration with real identity, temperature measurement, health code requirement and staggered display of hot spots, the organizers added.

Meanwhile, Shanghai will hold a global eSports event S10 in October as the city is establishing itself as an eSports hub worldwide.

In 2019, ChinaJoy enjoyed a record-high number of visitors to attract more than 364,700 visitors during its four-day run in Shanghai.
