Partnership to build a new national park

Jiading is partnering with Tongji University to build the National Science and Technology Park of Tongji University, aiming to achieve a long-term development in new-energy and intelligent connected vehicles, smart manufacturing, intelligent travel, intelligent network connection and intelligent health care industries.

Both sides also signed an agreement to launch the Jiading-Tongji Fundamental Education Group to seek the best way to connect fundamental education with higher education to share and optimize the allocation of resources and improve the quality of education.

The joint construction of education has achieved fruitful results. With both efforts, five fundamental education schools have been built.

The park will become a highland of talent and utilize knowledge spillover to upgrade the district-industry-university collaboration and urban construction in the district.

Lu Fangzhou, Jiading’s Party secretary, said at the unveiling ceremony that building the park together is an opportunity to deepen the cooperation between the two sides and accelerate economic development.

Jiading will improve coordination between campus, industrial park and the community to further promote industrial structure upgrading and inspire regenerative urban development, Lu said.

Jiading and the university have a long history of cooperation, and that became closer with the construction of the university’s Jiading campus in 2002.

The new park focuses on achievement transformation and entrepreneurship incubation.

At present, it has more than 300 enterprises and has formed an industrial cluster in the fields of new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles.
