Roche Group announced that they will attend the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10 this year.

This underlines Roche's commitment to driving innovation in China’s health care industry and its strong support for trade liberalization and economic globalization advocated by the Chinese government.

At the expo, Roche is expected to host the largest booth in the medical hall.

Roche's diagnostics and pharmaceuticals businesses will jointly showcase their scientific breakthroughs in early research and development, integrated diagnosis and treatment solutions, as well as its personalized health care, demonstrating the important position of the Chinese market in Roche's global strategy.

"Further opening-up of the Chinese market through the CIIE will facilitate the upgrade of innovation capabilities in the bio-pharmaceutical industry to meet the more diverse needs of Chinese people, which aligns with our purpose in China," said Hong Chow, general manager of Roche Pharmaceuticals China.

"The host of CIIE not only boosts a new round of high level opening-up policy, but also indicates China’s big movement to actively opening up the market to the world. Roche is looking forward to this big event," added Wong Fatt-Heng, general manager of Roche Diagnostics China.
