ChinaJoy attracts record number of visitors

The 2018 ChinaJoy, Asia’s biggest game event held annually in Shanghai, attracted more than 100,000 visitors on its opening day on August 3.
The event will run till Monday at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
Officials from Damai.cn, the event’s ticketing website, said that it is the first time the number of visitors to Chinajoy has surpassed 100,000.
Digital ticketing also offered fast entry to the event. Visitors can scan their QR code for tickets with their cellphone.
It is estimated that the four-day event will attract over 500,000 anime and game enthusiasts. Many of the visitors are young males from 18 to 26 years old.
