New business club encourages Sino-French exchange
A business club to encourage more exchange between French and Chinese companies was established yesterday at the DPARK in Yangpu District.
The club, named the French-Chinese Enterprises Club, was initiated by DPARK, the first foreign business park approved by the government, and the Foundation of Charles de Gaulle.
The mission of the club is to encourage institutional exchanges involving education, training, and tourism, and to organize various events to let the public know more about the two countries, and the spirit of Charles de Gualle, a hero leading the French to defeat Nazi Germany in the Second World War.
“We follow the rule of one step at a time … the launch of the club is one important step after the foundation made our park its home in Shanghai last year,” said Antonio Duarte, chairman of the DPARK. Duarte received the Shanghai Magnolia Gold Award last year.
Jacques Godfrain, president of the Foundation of Charles de Gualle and a former minister, said the club can allow people to learn something about “leadership," perhaps more effectively than they can in any conventional school.
