AI to be a focus of technology fair

The seventh China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair will be held from April 18 to April 20 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

The seventh China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair will be held from April 18 to April 20 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

It will cover 350,000 square meters, with five major exhibition areas: honorary guest city (state), technological innovation, specialized technologies, innovative ecosystems and trade services.

The fair aims to promote the development of technology trade and innovation by integrating scientific and technological power and innovation achievements at home and abroad.

Saarland state in Germany and Liverpool city from the UK are the guests of honor. They will hold activities including high-level meetings, exhibitions, project docking and technology exchanges during the fair. 

Saarland will bring the world's largest artificial intelligence agency — German AI research center DFKI, Germany's largest scientific research institution, the Fraunhofer Institute; ZeMA, and the University of Applied Sciences of Saarbrücken.

Liverpool will bring the Virtual Engineering Centre, the world's leading technology innovation center for engineering development, the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the NHS foundation trust in Liverpool.

The fair will focus on AI and its applications in areas such as service robots, intelligent manufacturing, and the latest research and development technology achievements.

NextVPU, DeepBlue Technology, Xiao-i, Yunji Technology and other companies will release their latest research and developments in AI.

International exhibitors have booked 2,600 square meters. Among them, the United States and Canada are both taking part for their first time as the North American Exhibition Group, focusing on advanced technologies in the fields of AI and intelligent health care.
