A store opened for business at Shanghai's National Exhibition and Convention Center on Friday, where visitors can buy products and souvenirs related to upcoming China International Import Expo.

At the first expo last year, over a thousand Jinbao dolls sold out within an hour of going on sale. This year, hundreds of items will be on the shelves at the new NECC Store.

There are four categories of products — classic, postal, superior, and co-brand.

Classic products will mainly be the popular products sold last year, including the Jinbao dolls and CIIE logo badges. Postal products such as envelopes, stamps and postcards will also be on sale. Superior products are those specially designed for the expo such as badges, stationary, clothing and household items. The co-brand products are those designed by the expo authorities and famous brands, among which are CIIE x Tissot watches.

There will be a special area in the store selling commemorative gold and silver coins. People can also get a special CIIE-themed credit card issued by the Bank of China.

The store also has an exhibition area where visitors can learn more about the center and the CIIE.

Meanwhile, a new series of memes of Jinbao, the expo mascot, was released for download on WeChat.
