An education fund to encourage the study of management based on the principles of Oriental philosophy was founded on Friday at Fudan University.
The fund, named after renowned professor and economist Su Dongshui, has an initial endowment of 3.3 million yuan (US$473,700) donated by Su and his students.
Su, 89, is a pioneer in the exploration of management theory using Oriental philosophy.
“I hope the fund can help to expand the influence of Oriental management and let more businesses benefit from it,” Su said at the fund's launch ceremony.
