The comprehensive trade service alliance, one of the four major alliances in the Shanghai Trade Group for the China International Import Expo, signed a strategic partnership with Shanghai Tower on Friday to support the event.

At the signing ceremony, the alliance said its cloud platform serving the CIIE had gone online at China.com.cn.

Alliance members are committed to working on epidemic prevention and control as well as boosting economic development, and will make full preparations for the third expo, it said.

Shang Yuying, deputy secretary general of the Shanghai government, said in her speech that the city is studying and deploying the next stage of work on normal epidemic control as well as economic and social development.

It is expected the Shanghai Trade Group and its comprehensive trade service alliance will continue to organize more professional visitors to participate in the third CIIE, hold high-quality support activities, and make greater achievements during the expo this year, Shang said.

Also on Friday evening, a Quality Life Festival was launched to welcome the CIIE, and will last until June 30.

During the period, six trading service platforms will hold activities to boost consumption, including the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, the Orient International Import Country (Region) Commodities Center, and the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone National (Regional) Pavilion.
