It is the fifth time for the China International Import Expo to take place in Shanghai, and CIIE has been increasingly recognized by global businesses as a great platform to get connected with China and beyond. Again, we invite some of them to voice their opinions, which is to shed light upon the CIIE this year!
We are delighted to be participating in the China International Import Expo for the fifth time, and for the second time as EssilorLuxottica, following the merger of our two pioneering companies – Essilor and Luxottica.
Last year at CIIE, we marked the debut of our unified company in the Chinese market, a major milestone in our three-decade journey in the country. By hosting the CIIE, China is playing a leading role and demonstrating its consistent position in opening up and promoting free trade. At the same time, vision needs in China are growing amongst people of all ages, thanks to an increased awareness of vision care and the changing lifestyles of consumers. The CIIE, with its overwhelming influence, is an ideal place for us to introduce and showcase those innovations. The Stellest lens for example, the company's new generation of spectacle lens that can slow the progression of myopia in children, enjoyed massive market success since its global debut at CIIE in 2020. This year, we will focus on "Vision Care Update for Proactive Eye Health Management," advocating for people, especially children and the elderly, to take proactive steps to develop their understanding of vision health, participate in eye screening tests and protect their eyes. As an industry leader and a passionate advocate for the vision cause, EssilorLuxottica is committed to establishing a vision health ecosystem alongside our key partners in government, enterprise, hospitals, academia and media.

This year at CIIE, we will bring a wide range of total solutions for myopia management, which will meet the needs of children of all ages in different settings. In addition, as winter sports are surging in popularity in China in recent years, we are excited to exhibit Oakley's Prizm lenses, an exclusive technology offering unprecedented clear vision that helps to improve sports performance. Oakley is also the partner and exclusive sponsor of Team China at the Olympics. The Ray-Ban junior collection will also be displayed at CIIE. Customized for Asian children, it is suitable for long-term wear and allows children to express their personal style.
