Amended rules to regulate securities trading

China will implement the amended securities rules starting January 1, 2018, said a spokesman of the China Securities Regulartory Commission today at a media briefing.

The rules, after a two-month collection of public opinions, have been approved and released by the CSRC earlier this month. They are expected to furthter improve governance and supervision over share trading, especially in basic level tradings, through measures like real-time surveillance and on-the-site investigation.

According to CSRC Spokesman Chang Depeng, the rules demanded clearer definition of power and responsiblity of board members and general managers, putting a focus on self-disciplines of exchanges and making it clear that all participants are subject to the rules.
