Shanghai shares lose winning streak

Decline of financial and brokerage shares pull market down.

Shanghai stocks ended lower today, snapping a winning streak over seven trading days, after financial shares declined.

The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.31 percent to close at 3,458.31 points.

Banks were among the biggest decliners, with Jiangsu Wujiang Rural Commercial Bank Co down 4.44 percent to 9.69 yuan.

Brokerage shares such as Caitong Securities Co Ltd, Central China Securities Co Ltd and Dongxing Securities Co Ltd all lost over 4 percent.

Media companies were among the decliners, with Hangzhou Dianhun Network Tech Co Ltd shedding 3.08 percent and Shanghai LongYun Advertng & Media Co Ltd losing 2.39 percent.
