Shares of national defense and military companies as well as pharmaceutical firms decline.

Shanghai stocks closed generally flat on Thursday, with shares of national defense and military companies falling.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.06 percent to end at 2,729.24 points.
The national defense and military shares dragged down the index, with Anhui GreatWall Military Industry Co shedding 5.05 percent.
Pharmaceutical companies also posted losses, with Beijing Konruns Pharmaceutical Co losing 3.82 percent.
But catering and tourism shares such as BTG Hotels Co rose 5.23 percent and Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co added 4.66 percent.
