Technology companies lead rally
Stocks rebounded yesterday boosted by gains in technology companies.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index surged 1.36 percent to close at 2668.17 points. The smaller Shenzhen Component Index ended 1.18 percent higher to 8,002.1 points, and the CSI 300 index also jumped 1.17 percent to 3,242.37 points.
Stocks of nearly a hundred companies posted gains hitting the daily limit of 10 percent.
Computer shares led the rise, with 11 companies listed on the A-share markets including PCI-Suntek Technology Co, Shenzhen Kingdom Sci-tech Co and Fujian Boss Software Corp all surging by the 10 percent cap.
Venture capital-related shares also increased. Shanghai Shibei Hi-tech Co, Hunan TV & Broadcast Intermediary Co and Suzhou New District Hi-tech Industrial Co all rose by the daily maximum of 10 percent.
