ZhongAn partners with DIA to bolster insurtech innovations

China’s first Internet-only insurer, ZhongAn Online P&C Insurance Co Ltd, said it has joined hands with Digital Insurance Agenda, Europe’s biggest and leading insurance technology conference, to foster the development of insurtech aross the globe.

Under the deal, DIA will launch its first event in Hong Kong this December, with the support of ZA Tech Global Limited, the international arm of ZhongAn Online and also an outsourcing platform which aims to boost the carrier’s technology solutions businesses outside China.

ZA Tech will be the main partner of DIA Hong Kong and has been instrumental in bringing the conference to Asia.

With a mission to accelerate innovations in the insurance sector, the renowned DIA sets the stage for the industry’s most important digital developments in the years to come.

Thought leaders from Asia, Europe and the US plus no less than 50 of the world's most innovative new technology providers will showcase their latest disruptive solutions to the global insurance audience in fast-paced eight-minute “TED-style” presentations.

Reggy de Feniks, co-founder of DIA, believed that there is so much the West can learn from what takes place in Asia, and vice versa.

Bill Song, chief executive officer of ZA Tech, said the partnership with DIA would help foster development of insurtech around the world. And connecting high potential startups with insurers, reinsurers and investors would be paramount to the transformation of the whole insurance industry.
