Stocks end week creeping up

Shanghai stocks rose on Friday, led by gains in agriculture and transportation sectors.

The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.24 percent to close at 2,944.54 points. 

Shares of consumer enterprises, new material and shipping firms were also among the biggest gainers today.

Shares of transportation firms rose after the Ministry of Transport said on Thursday that China will further enhance its Big Data application in the field of transportation and enhance the digital level of the sector by 2025.

Shanghai Jinjiang International Industrial Investment Co Ltd jumped 4.03 percent to 11.61 yuan (US$1.7) and Shanghai Hile Bio-Technology Co Ltd added 2.86 percent to 12.58 yuan.
