Share rises in China continue on Friday
Chinese equities rose for a third consecutive day on Friday, with gains led by liquor and the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries.
At the close of market hours, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.28 percent to 2,823.82 points, the smaller Shenzhen Component Index advanced 0.57 percent to 9,060.92 points and the blue chip CSI300 index was higher by 0.45percent at 3,710.54 points.
Turnover on the two major bourses totaled 430.2 billion yuan (US$61.05 billion), expanding from 393.9 billion yuan in the previous season.
Most sectors posted gains, led by liquor and the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery industries. Shares of Shandong Minhe Animal Husbandry Co Ltd hit the daily cap. Shares of rare earths also performed strong, with shares of Galaxy Magnets climbing by daily limit.
But most shares on the STAR Market stumbled. Shares of Shenzhen Chipscreen Bioscience Co Ltd shed 5.88 percent at 96 yuan.
