Financial Services Fair to open next week

More than 80 financial institutions and nearly 50 enterprises in other fields are taking part in the event at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

The 14th Shanghai Financial Services Fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from October 22 to 24.

The three-day event will focus on the Lingang Special New Area, financial technology, Yangtze River Delta integration, financial talent/culture, asset management and inclusive finance, as well as joint development of Shanghai’s efforts to become an international financial hub and science and technology innovation center.

It will have forums, matchmaking meetings and public culture lectures.

The fair will have an exhibition area of nearly 8,500 square meters, with around 130 exhibitors.

Among them are more than 80 financial institutions, including banks, securities brokers and fund managers as well as nearly 50 enterprises involved in information technology, biomedicine, artificial intelligence and new energy vehicles, according to organizers.

A highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the Yangtze River Delta Financial Industry Development Alliance.

Initiated by the Shanghai Financial Association, Jiangsu Province Financial Association and Zhejiang Province Financial Association, the organization aims to integrate financial resources in the region, improve the financial information sharing mechanism, and promote cross-region cooperation among financial institutions.
