Adobe, the developer of design software tools including Photoshop, announced today the setup of an upgraded Shanghai facility in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, making it the new regional hub for Adobe in East China.

With the entry of FTZ, Adobe is actively working to support national development goals, flexibly adjusting to meet market demand and providing globally-leading products to China customers, through the facility Adobe Systems Software (Shanghai) Co.

Shanghai is at the dawn of a golden age for the cultural and creative industries. These industries are key to promoting innovation-driven growth in Shanghai, piloting a new national economic model and improving the quality and efficiency of economic development, said Adobe.

FTZ is an ideal platform for Adobe to pursue rapid growth in the long term and support “Created in China” and “Designed in China” policies and digital transformation, said Yew Hwee Ng, Adobe’s Senior Managing Director in China.

In 2016, Adobe released Creative Cloud in China with new features like virtual reality video editing and cloud support.
