Kingdee seeks new ecosystem with AI assistant
Hong Kong-listed Kingdee today launched an artificial intelligence assistant in Shanghai as the software giant aims to transform its business to cloud computing and AI.
Kingdee, one of China’s top enterprise software vendors, plans to offer enterprise clients AI services covering ERP (enterprise resource planning), human resource, finance and other sectors. Its AI assistant solution is the first in its kind in China's enterprise market.
“Software, integrating with cloud and AI, represents a new ecosystem of Kingdee,” said Xu Shaochun, its chairman with 24 years in finance and enterprise software.
Kingdee has become China’s No. 1 SaaS (software as a service) vendor in enterprise software market, according to US-based International Data Corp.
SaaS is one of three sub-markets of cloud computing, representing applications based on cloud.
A blueprint by the State Council, China’s Cabinet, predicted the value of the nation’s core AI industries to exceed 150 billion yuan (US$22.7 billion) by 2020 and 400 billion yuan by 2025.
