Oppo unveils new full-display model amid heated competition

Oppo debuted its new flagship full-display model today in Beijing as it competes heatedly with other top global  smartphone vendors.

Full screen features wider view angle and bigger display space, offering consumers a “Wow” experience. Other vendors including Samsung, Apple and Vivo have incorporated full-screen display in their flagship models, including Apple's latest iPhone X.

Besides full-display function, the new Oppo R11s features AI or artificial intelligence for picture taking and optimization function.

“Moving into the last quarter of the year, the competition among the top vendors in China will remain tight,” Canalys said in a research note.
