iPhone users face system crash after upgrade
Many users of iPhone have problems with accessing social media networks, mobile payment and alarm clocks after upgrading their phones to the latest version of iOS, Shanghai Daily learned today.
The iPhone users faced black screen and constant upgrading or restarting today, according to social media posts and media reports.
“We are crazy about the bug with the disorder of alarm clocks, WeChat and Alipay. Everything doesn’t work,” said users on Weibo and other user forums.
The models crippled by the bug cover iPhone 6 and iPhone 7. The latest iPhone 8 and iPhone X seem yet to be influenced.
A global bug in iOS 11.1.2 is causing iPhones to crash repeatedly once the clock hits 12.15am on December 2, the Verge reported today.
Apple is not available to make comment during the weekend. But an official at Apple’s Pudong flagship store told consumers to restore settings and turn off automatic upgrading to fix problems temporarily.
“We are still waiting for official notices or update to fix it,” the official was quoted by a user visiting to the store to fix the bug as saying.
The more simple way is to set the data back to November, netizens said.
It’s not the first time that users reported bugs or problems with Apple’s iOS 11, which has seven updated versions up to now.
In October, iPhone users found it difficult to switch off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the new iOS 11, which may consume unexpected power and data traffic and bring potential security risks. Industry insiders warned users to be more cautious before updating the operating system. The new iOS 11 changes notification and upgrading ways.
