Tencent Inc will distribute the Game of Thrones mobile game in China after sealing a deal with game developer Youzu.

Tencent will offer software support and distribute GoT and both parties will share the revenue generated from the game, said Youzu in a statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange today.

Youzu received the license to develop the GoT game by signing an agreement with Warner Bros last year. It was the first mobile game license granted in China by the interactive entertainment division of Warner Bros.

GoT is a popular fantasy drama adapted from George R. R. Martin's fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire. The drama is expected to conclude with its eighth season premiering in 2019.

Shanghai’s game industry output surged 24 percent year on year to 56.9 billion yuan (US$9.03 billion) in 2017.
