Alibaba Group unveils new strategic partnership

Alibaba Group has unveiled a strategic partnership program with global and local businesses and service providers so they can better access its technological offerings.

The e-commerce giant seeks to better offer digital transformation solutions to online vendors as well as physical retailers.

The A100 initiative announced today also marks Alibaba's progression from an online service provider to an integrated technology company that hopes to help market players enhance their efficiency and better target consumers.

Alibaba's business affiliates now include digital entertainment, local lifestyle services, logistics, supply chain, payments, marketing and a wide range of supporting services.

"We hope to build up a one-stop shop for businesses to access a comprehensive range of enterprise services in the digital era," said Daniel Zhang, CEO of Alibaba Group.

Alibaba currently covers more than 600 million monthly active users and nearly 30 business units specializing in enterprise services from digital retail, mobile payments, and digital marketing to IT infrastructure.

Previous collaborations between multinational companies and Alibaba's extensive digital and technology offerings include L’Oreal, Starbucks, Nestle and Haier.
