Hisense Group aims to double revenue by 2025 thanks to overseas income, booming TV sales and its growing air conditioner business, the home appliance giant said on Tuesday.

Hisense, which has  launched new chips to improve TV image quality and various artificial technologies for smart homes, forecasts revenue to hit 300 billion yuan (US$44.6 billion) in 2025, compared with 126.6 billion yuan last year.

In 2018, its overseas business reached 37.8 billion yuan, 30 percent higher than a year earlier, said the company.

Hisense is China’s leading TV vendor, claiming a more-than 20 percent market share. The company aims to consolidate its position with new technology.

It has kicked off a self-developed image-processing chip to improve image quality in its latest U7E and U8E TVs. They also feature artificial intelligence for voice control and image and scene recognition.

Kelon, a sub-brand of Hisense, also launched  its latest air conditioners, which it says can heat a room within 40 seconds.

Both Hisense’s TVs and air conditioners will be on show during the AWE Home Appliance and Electronics World Expo — the country's largest such show —  that opens in Shanghai on Thursday.
