Dingtalk plans digitalization revolution

Alibaba's office communication and collaboration platform DingTalk has released its latest smart hardware and voice and facial assistant to help drive digitalization of established companies as well as startups.

It's also working together with smart hardware maker Logitech to offer video conferencing hardware that would allow remote access from online conference from different devices as well as three formats that fit with the different size of the meeting rooms.

DingTalk is part of Alibaba's cloud computing affiliate and is using its underlying technological advantages while training digitalization management specialists.

DingTalk's office visitor management system with facial and voice recognition would help front desk staff and manage meeting schedules through DingTalk software and a smartphone app.

Logitech Vice President Liu Kun said he will work with DingTalk to support the digitalization of as many as 43 million small and medium enterprises in China.

By the end of June, 10 million domestic enterprises and organizations and their 200 million employees were using DingTalk for their day-to-day office communication and management. As many as 200,000 office software developers are also using the DingTalk platform to meet niche demand.

Tencent's WeChat has challenged DingTalk with an enterprise version that provides work-related communication that is separate from the daily use of WeChat.
