Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Alibaba's Jack Ma discussed the future of artificial intelligence during the WAIC in Shanghai today.

Ma said that "artificial intelligence is going to open a new chapter of society and of the world that people try to understand ourselves better, rather than the outside world."

Ma added that the emergence of AI would not reduce jobs, but the technological revolution would create more jobs. Because of artificial intelligence, people would have more time to enjoy life. Ma said that people could work three days a week, four hours a day, with the help of technology.

Musk added that "probably the last job for human being will be writing software for artificial intelligence."

Musk talked about how Neuralink, a startup he founded, could one day help people boost their skills. The company plans to use artificial intelligence to augment people’s cognitive capabilities with brain-machine interfaces.
