OnePlus, a Chinese smartphone startup, is already a leading player in the global high-end handset market, and its foothold is only expected to grow with its latest offerings.

The company is the No. 4 player in the high-end (US$400 or above) smartphone segment worldwide, with a leading 43 percent market share in the high-end market in India, OnePlus said citing figures from researcher Counterpoint.

Its recently released flagship models, the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro, feature an impressive 90Hz screen. The new-tech screen offers users better experiences in mobile gaming, photography and video viewing, said OnePlus’s CEO Liu Zuohu.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is one of the earliest players to adopt Android 10. It has also launched its own AI voice assistant.

The Chinese market may account for 30 percent of OnePlus’ global sales this year, compared with less than 10 percent a few years ago, the company said previously.

OnePlus 7T models are priced from 2,999 yuan (US$423). There is also a McLaren edition of the device priced at 5,299 yuan.
