The emblem of the 15th World Wushu Championships

The 15th World Wushu Championships, to be hosted in Shanghai next year, released its emblem and mascot on Friday.

The organizer received a total of 227 entries from home and abroad. Finally an emblem ingeniously combines the Chinese character of Shanghai with its abbreviation “SH” stood out. 

The mascot named Hihi is inspired by dragon horse, a legendary animal in ancient China. The mascot is clad with traditional Chinese costumes with the patterns of white magnolia, the city flower of Shanghai.

In the following months the event will also globally select its image ambassador and theme song.
