Fans of the Wuzhen Theater Festival take heed!

The much-coveted tickets for the seventh festival will be released at 10am on August 18 via www.damai.cn and www.wuzhenfestival.com.

Nearly 28 dramas from 13 countries and regions around the world will be showcased.

“We understand that the demand for these drama tickets far exceeds our offering,” said Chen Xianghong, chief planner of Wuzhen, and one of the founders of the Wuzhen Theater Festival.

“We are now building a drama theatre with 500 seats for next year’s festival.”

Currently, there are about 15 performing venues on the list of Wuzhen.

Founded in 2013, the annual event attracts many fans from around the country to experience theater in this ancient water town of Zhejiang Province.

Under the theme of “Emerge,” the seventh festival is divided into five parts: Master Surge, Classical Vortex, Avant-garde Tsunami, Innovation Undertow and Academic Ripple.

The festival will run from October 25 to November 3.
