The interactive event “Dance for 12 Hours” was held at Shanghai International Dance Center on Sunday.

The event was part of the Art Space series, which is a core feature of the annual China Shanghai International Arts Festival.

A group of renowned dancers, including Xin Lili, Tan Yuanyuan, Huang Doudou and Zhu Jiejing, interacted with attendees through workshops, performances, lectures and even live video-streaming during the day.

The activity revealed backstage stories. The participants not only appreciated two dance performances but also got a glimpse of their rehearsals.

A variety of events such as a dance photography exhibition, an art fair and a dancing flash mob allowed people to enjoy the charm of dance beyond the boundary of theater.
