“Artistic Community in Shanghai,” an exhibition on how art can be brought into urban communities, is currently showcased at Liu Haisu Art Museum through September 22.

The exhibition features documentation and models of museum projects and public culture services, based on case studies in local communities.

For example, “Su Shanghai: Public Art and Community Plan” focuses on planting art into the streets and lanes of Shanghai to initiate the vitality and enhance the esthetics of residential communities.

Other case studies reflect the possibilities of how art and design can improve the outlook of the city’s suburbs, such as the design of homestays in the countryside to attract urban residents.
