Book launch discusses food manufacturing and safety
A book launch and forum on the issues of food manufacturing and safety is taking place in the Lecture Hall of Jing’an Library.
Authors Qian Cheng and Hu Xinyuan, founders of popular WeChat account “Jishuxingchihuo” (技术型吃货) or literally “Technological Foodies,” will be presenting their new book “iFoodGeek” at the event. They will discuss how to get the most healthy food.
In the second half of the event, the future of food will be discussed in the form of a seminar: Is it likely for natural resources to eventually run out? If so, what can be used as the replacement of food?
“Besides science fiction, I’m a big fan of food,” says Pablo M.A Vazquez, chairman of the 12th North American Science Fiction Convention, who will be analyzing the topic from the dimensional ideologies of both time and space at the forum. “I am optimistic about the future of food development.”
