A cappella concert held to celebrate Chinese New Year

Shanghai A Cappella Alliance held a New Year's Concert at Shanghai Conservatory of Music on Saturday night, featuring new versions of classic songs to celebrate the coming Chinese Lunar New Year.
Popular a cappella bands from all over the country performed well-known songs, including Wang Luobin’s ballad “In a Faraway Place,” patriotic song “My Chinese Heart” and dynamic pop song “Desert of Passion.”
Ever since its foundation last year, Shanghai A Cappella Alliance has made remarkable achievements in supporting and promoting the music genre, an art form of singing without the support of musical instruments.
Regular workshops, master classes and a cappella festivals have been organized to cultivate talented new artists across the city.
