Index launched for fans to interact more with idols

Fans and audiences can vote and comment on pop idols on the new platform. They can also watch the latest live shows of the stars and interact with their idols.

Star Index, a professional online rating platform was launched yesterday in hope of regulating the entertainment industry.

According to Lu Chengang, a developer of the big data-based app, fans and audiences can vote and comment on pop idols on the platform. They can also watch the latest live shows of the stars and interact with their idols.

Fans will receive tokens which can be used later to exchange tickets to various off-line activities, such as fan-meeting event and mini-concerts.

The platform will constantly evaluate stars based on the big data analysis of the votes and comments.

“The results can be used by agencies as references to planning the future of young idols,” said Lu. “We hope to build an open and transparent rating system to help develop a ‘healthy’ entertainment industry.”
