Because of the huge popularity of “Street Dance of China,” Youku and Star China will make a second season of the show, which will be aired on Youku later this year.

Since its debut in February, “Street Dance of China” has received over 510 million clicks on video-sharing website Youku and currently enjoys a rating of 8.3 out of 10 on Douban.com, a popular film and TV rating platform in China.

Many ordinary Chinese people are starting to great interest in street dance, eager to learn the culture of the genre.

During the show's final episode on Thursday, freestyle dancer Han Yu battled with Shi Jiankai and Hu Haoliang, who were the most popular contestants with the audiences.

After displaying diverse moves and styles of street dance, Shi, a street dance coach from Henan Province, received the title of “Battle King” based on online votes.
