The highly expected American sci-fi adventure movie “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” a sequel to “Jurassic World,” started screening in China on June 15, one week earlier than its North America release.

The film presents both IMAX 3D and standard 3D versions to immerse people into a magnificent world of dinosaurs on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, off Central America’s pacific coast. Visually impelling scenes include volcanic explosions and dinosaur chases and hunting.

Starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt, the film depicts Owen and Claire’s efforts to rescue the remaining dinosaurs when the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life.

Since the debut of Steven Spielberg’s classic film “Jurassic Park” in 1993, the dinosaur movie series has created a huge following in China.
