Well-known musician and talk show host Gao Xiaosong held a party and cultural salon in Shanghai on June 19 to celebrate the sixth anniversary of his popular weekly online program "Morning Call."

Ever since its debut on Youku in 2012, the program has developed a large fan base all over the country, owing to Gao's innovative and in-depth interpretation of history, culture and art.

At the party, Gao shared his views on the World Cup, education and literature with fans. So far the show's online views have exceeded 1.5 billion. It is also highly scored on the film and TV review website Douban.

In the future, "Morning Call" will include more practical subjects, such as work life and emotions, to help young viewers in China better come to terms with life's challenges.
