Saturday Night Live China gains popularity

“Saturday Night Live China” has received more than 400 million views since its debut on Youku on June 23.

The weekly variety show hits the airwaves each Saturday, featuring comedic sketches by veteran comedians like Yue Yunpeng and Chen He.

According to Ye Feng, director of the show, they have also included the latest social topics into their acts, resonating well with audiences.

In addition to comedy stars, the show has attracted actress Zhang Yuqi and singer Zhang Jie to try their hands at comedy. More celebrities are expected to join the program.

Producers of the show said that they will create more hilarious sketches about urban life, covering subjects like work, love and family relationships.
