Sci-fi adventure film 'The Meg' to be released in China

“The Meg,” the latest offering of director Jon Turteltaub, known for “National Treasure 2,” will hit cinemas across China on August 10.

The film will be available in an IMAX 3D version to depict breathtaking scenes of people escaping the attacks of the ultimate ocean predator, the Megalodon.

The action-packed sci-fi adventure stars British actor Jason Statham and mainland actress Li Bingbing. 

The fabulous ocean world in the film is created by famous visual effects Company Scanline VFX, who worked on “2012” and “Iron Man 3.” 

Visually stunning scenes of the Megalodon’s fight against giant ships, planes and human civilization and technology will also be presented.
