Celebrated Taiwan musician to perform on '2018 Sing! China'

The 74-year-old Taiwan musician Peter Chen, who is also known as the “godfather of Taiwan pop music,” will perform on stage for “2018 Sing! China.”

During his career, Chen has created nearly 1,000 pop songs, among which are the famous “A Spray of Plum Blossoms” and “Wordless Ending.” He also introduced Western musical genres and styles to Taiwan in the 1970s and 80s.

Chen will perform his classic song “A Road” and English song “Remember Me.”

He said it is a memorable experience for him to witness young people’s pursuit of their musical dreams.

He will also share with young music enthusiasts his own experiences and understanding of his career.

The episode will be broadcast on Zhejiang Satellite TV at 9pm on August 10.
