Cast and crew of “Mission: Impossible ─ Fallout,” including director Christopher McQuarrie and actors Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill and Simon Pegg, attended the film’s China premiere in Beijing Wednesday night.

The sixth installment of the “Mission: Impossible” action spy film series will begin its China release on August 31, with both 3D and IMAX 3D versions.

The film has received praise from both critics and audiences overseas, and has already grossed US$539 million worldwide.

Cruise received intense training in helicopter piloting and parachute jumping to depict the new challenges of agent Ethan Hunt and his IMF team.

He also received a short video from his Chinese fans, many of whom began supporting the star since the first installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise 22 years ago.

Cruise expressed his gratitude to his Chinese fans, telling them “I love you” in Mandarin.
