A concert of light music was held at Shanghai Concert Hall on September 27 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up.

The program, hosted by popular radio brand Weekly Radio Concert, was also part of the ongoing 2018 Shanghai Radio Festival which will run to September 30.

Artists from Shanghai Light Music Orchestra performed popular music from the past 40 years including “On the Sun Island,” “That is Me” and “The Moon Represents My Heart.” Some acts paid tribute to Chinese pop singer Teresa Teng.

The musicians were conducted by composer Tu Bahai and Shen Xiaocen was invited to give new interpretation of nostalgic songs.
