Street cat to star on China's screens

A film about street animals, “A Street Cat Named Bob,” will be released in China on November 2 with special screenings in 20 cities.

It tells the story of the intimacy, trust and strong emotional bond between the protagonist and the street cat.

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, whose credits include “The Children of Huang Shi” and Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies,” the film is based on a true story of a street entertainer who rebuilds his confidence after a street cat becomes part of his life. 

The original novel has been translated into over 30 languages.
