Brace yourselves: Another DC Comics character to hit China's screens

"Aquaman," a highly anticipated superhero film based on the DC Comics character, will hit cinemas across China on December 7.

“Aquaman,” a highly anticipated superhero film based on the DC Comics character, will hit cinemas across China on December 7.

Directed by James Wan, whose credits include “Fast and Furious 7” and “Saw,” the film stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman. 

It is centered around the growth of Arthur Curry, the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. He has to lead his people in the fight against his half-brother and become a real hero for the world.

The mysterious and spectacular underwater world of the original comics is portrayed with stunning visuals. Impressive battle scenes and underwater craft chasing are featured in the movie.

"Aquaman" will also be available in IMAX 3D version at the country’s 600 or so IMAX theaters.
