Realistic epic drama about China's reform and opening-up to air

“Like a Flowing River,” an epic series paying tribute to the achievements of China’s reform and opening-up, will begin airing on Dragon TV on December 10.

The realistic series is adapted from Ah Nai’s novel and depicts the tremendous impact of the country’s reform and opening-up on society, the economy and people’s lives since 1978.

Starring Wang Kai, Yang Li and Dong Zijian, the series revolves around an ordinary family whose lives are closely related with the social progress.

According to producer Hou Hongliang, whose credits include “Nirvana in Fire,” big efforts have also been spent on the series’ exquisite sets and props which boast different flavors at different times.
